Ordering Policies

Whatever your event – whether it’s a light breakfast for staff, a banquet luncheon for 500, or an evening cocktail reception we have the knowledge and expertise to help make your event a success.

For breakfast, we offer a wide assortment of freshly baked morning treats, along with freshly brewed hot coffee, tea and juices.
Our lunch combinations make ordering for the office easy and efficient. For special events, our hot entrees and appetizer menus are sure to thrill your guests.

If you have something specific in mind that you don’t see on our website, just call us! We are happy to provide you with customized services to make your meeting or event meet your expectations. For more formal occasions, full liquor service, china service, waitstaff, linens and floral arrangements can be provided. We will do our best to accommodate just about any requests that you might have.

All events catered by Metro Catering include complete set-ups, including all necessary paper products or fancy plasticware, utensils, serving implements and condiments. A 7% Massachusetts meals tax will be added to all orders unless non-profit status is presented at the time of ordering.

Advance Notice

 We specialize in accommodating last minute orders and same-day deliveries. We do prefer to have at least 24 hours notice when possible, as this will help to ensure that all of the selections that you’ve chosen will be available. With prior notice we will custom design a menu for you and take care of any additional requests, such as table linens or bar service.

Delivery & Payment

There is a $200.00 minimum (plus a delivery fee) for any deliveries scheduled for after 3:00 p.m. outside the downtown Boston area.  Pickups are available until 4:30 p.m. from our Government Center kitchen.

Metro Catering accepts cash, corporate checks and all major credit cards.
We can also easily arrange for corporate charge accounts.

Terms for payment are net 30 days.

There is a $7.00 fee assessed for delivery within the downtown Boston area.
With enough notice, we are also able to deliveries outside of this area.
An additional fee may be assessed for these orders.

On all orders serving over 100 guests a 15% gratuity is added to the invoice.
For simple drop-offs (no set-up or service staff required) the gratuity is waived. For simple drop-offs, if you require cleaning or pick-ups following the event an additional fee may be assessed.

Deposits & Cancellations

Events in excess of $500 require a 50% deposit upon confirmation of the event, with the balance due on the day of the event.

For cancellations, we request a minimum of 24 hour’s notice. For cancellations within 24 hours of the event a fee may be assessed or you may be charged the full amount for the order. We will do our best to accommodate late cancellations depending on the circumstances.
